Chronic skin conditions such as eczema, vitiligo, and alopecia affect up to 20% of children and teens. These skin conditions have a significant impact on mental health and well-being, but many of these kids are not getting the psychological and emotional support that they need.
The Houston Charity A Children's House for the Soul has financed a FRAME film to be shown to medical students and other healthcare providers about the importance of understanding and working with kids and teens with dermatological conditions in a social and emotional capacity. I encourage anyone who is interested in knowing more about helping these children to watch the video here.
