I believe that people can understand their OCD, reteach their brains how to react to their thoughts, and ultimately move on with their lives free from OCD. And while that seems like a wonderful thought to many, to some it is scary. Who am I without OCD? What will I do with my time when I have it all back? If I get better does that mean t
hat this all wasn't real all along?

These fears and questions have slowed down good treatment for more people than you might imagine. So, before you think about your own OCD treatment it may be helpful to think to yourself, what will I do if I get better? What will I focus my life on? And how is this possible?
Any good outcome starts with a plan. You cannot train for a marathon withoug knowing what you're doing, and you can't move on with a life free from OCD wihtout knowing what you will do after. I do not need to tell you things to do, everyone can find something fun in this world, but I can give you some advice on how to enjoy it.
First, forgive yourself. OCD is hard and OCD treatment is hard. You did not do anything wrong by having OCD, and I hope you do not feel guilty for getting better. Second, practice your midnfulness. Enjoy the moment. You may have missed the last 1,000 moments in your life, but you deserve to enjoy the one you're in. Finally, be honest with yourself. Find something you really enjoy. It does not have to be traditionally fun or productive. Be yourself and find yourself again.
I believe that you can enjoy your life after OCD, please reach out to get started!
